There’s a question you’ve been avoiding. You know the one. You can feel it at the edge of your awareness.
Maybe it’s about your career. Maybe it’s about your relationship. Maybe it’s about your body, your choices, your worth, your direction. Maybe it’s something you’re too scared to even name yet.
The question you avoid is always the question that matters most.
A Q-Bomb isn’t a goal. it isn’t a self-improvement prompt. it isn’t something you answer once and move on from. it’s a question that shows a gap between the life you’re living and the life that might actually fit you. it creates a low-level tension that won’t go away until something shifts.
Q-Bombs are different from regular questions because they don’t go away when you ignore them. Regular questions you can put off. “Should i take that job?” “Should i move?” You can postpone those. Q-Bombs sit underneath everything. They keep showing up in your dreams, in your conversations, in the things you suddenly notice. They remove the option of comfortable ignorance.
HOW IT WORKS
Sit alone. No phone. No music. No company. Just you and the discomfort of the question that’s been hiding.
Ask yourself the one you’ve been avoiding. Not the nice version. Not the version that makes you look good. The version you’ve been actually running from.
What have i been avoiding asking myself? What gap have i been refusing to see?
Write it down. Unfiltered. No edit. No softening. Just the question, raw.
Then answer it. Write everything that comes. The first answer is what you think. Keep writing. The second answer is what you hope. The third answer is closer to the truth. Keep going until you hit the one that makes you uncomfortable—the one that’s true but you’ve been avoiding. You’ll know it when you hit it. it feels like recognition. Like something you already knew but weren’t ready to admit.
Then stop. Don’t try to fix it immediately. Don’t turn it into an action plan right away. Don’t call someone to process it. Just let it sit for 24 hours. Let it change how you see things. By tomorrow, your perspective will have shifted. You’ll see your life differently. Not better necessarily. Just more clearly.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Growth lives in the gap between who you think you are and who you’re afraid to be. The questions you avoid are the doors to that gap. Most people spend their whole lives running from these questions. The ones who stop running – who actually ask and answer – they’re the ones who change. They’re not smarter. They’re just braver.
or anything worth discussing.
