People use these words like they mean the same thing. They don’t.
Lost means you don’t know where you are. Unclear means you don’t know where you’re going. One is about location. The other is about direction. They need completely different responses.
If you’re lost, you need to stop moving. Retrace. Get your bearings. More action makes it worse.
If you’re unclear, you need to start moving. Small. Low stakes. In any direction that feels even slightly honest. Clarity doesn’t come from thinking harder. It comes from doing something and noticing how you feel about it.
Most people treat unclear like lost. They stop. They wait for a sign. They think more. They ask more people. And then they wonder why nothing shifts.
